good the pure driveablitty of the thing. everyone ive known who has had ne misses it after. the seem to talk to the driver alot, lack of electronic gizmos seems to let you feel exactly what is going on

bad the sheer lack of parts avaible, if there was a mid ranged sport modle released like a 1.6 or 1.4 i think they would have sold alot more.

Likes:

Cheap
Usually Reliable
Retro / Old School
Becoming less common
Purely mechanical, no complicated computers etc
More likely to see Elvis than a modifed one (I like the fact they're rare)

Dislikes:

Wind
Hills
Winter
Tailgaters (If you overtake a BMW etc in a K10, your guaranteed they'l be up your behind in no time)
Bad image / Granny car etc.
Hardly any performance bits anywhere
Don't hold there value
Very unsafe!

there not bad for value now rimski they all seem to be about the same price and have for about a year

Na, they're rubbish! I dont mean to buy on ebay or private sale, in the eyes of insurance companies, they're not worth anything - regardless of modifications.

likes:
reliable
quick
light weight
cheap
space (big for a little car) :p
granny wagon/diffrent (i like the fact its a granny car, no one expects to be overtaken by a micra. no one expects it can keep up with some other boyracer cars lol)

dislikes:
hills
side winds (especially on steel wheels lol)
Don't hold there value (as alan said)
grip on the standard tyres
to high (standard)
dont look very good (although i like the look of the micra but if you compair it with a civic or saxo the civic and saxo are bound to win!)
small little annoying rattles such as from the gear selecter linkage! small dash bored rattle and door card rattle.

Likes:
Simplicty
Cheap
Easy to maintain
Reliable
nice when modded
well made when in side on crashes (coughs)

Dislikes:
Need to spend alot of money to make it look half decent
Hard to find performance parts
the general image of the micra in general
speed bumps !

k11:
Good: Fast (1.3), quiet, timing chain, lots of space for a small car, good visibility, easy to park even without PAS, good choice of colours, sunroof opens all the way up, standard speakers are surprisingly good, reliable (so far).
Bad: Skids easily. Not sure of its cornering ability - wouldnt want to push it! Gearshift isnt very smooth, car gets a bit wobbly over 70mph.

Likes:
The Reliability of the MA10
One of the easiest cars to work on that I've come accross
Lightweight
The price
One of the least safe cars you can buy lol

Dislikes:
Stock suspension seems to be made out of jelly.
Tyres squeel around the slightest of corners at decent speed.

Late K11 1.4

Like:
Quick, people dont expect a 1.4 micra :)
Light, can use just a sail on windy days and save petrol!
Different, not much people mod micras.
Bad Rep, shows up chavs :D
Feels safe at 100+mph (private road).

Dislike:
Handles like a jellyfish on standard suspension n steelies.
Rattles, lotsa odd rattles, normally traced to things like heatsheilds and just a noisey engine in general (Which dont bother me much tbh).
Needs quite a few (to be fair cheap) mods to get it looking not grannyfied!

antoher like: runs pretty much on fresh air (v. economical, even if driven hard)

k11 likes:
Reliable
Cheap to run

Dislikes:
Slow
side winds
goin up hills
motorway driving
suspenssion
hight of seats
interior colours
ugly steering wheel

Likes:

Good economy if I don't thrash it
Reliable
Cheap to run
Easy to drive
Plenty of room for a 6'2" driver
Fair few tuning parts available
The fact that they annoy Jeremy Clarkson

Dislikes:

Agonisingly slow
Not too good looking
The reaction I get when people say 'oh so what do you drive'
Nasty interior
The feeling that it is going to fall apart when I go over about 85 (on private roads)
Sills are starting to rust like hell

Like
Fuel economy
Reliabilty
low tax & insurance
Ability to take abuse
easy to work on / take apart
Easy to add upgrades from higher spec models
16v Engine with Timing Chain
Practability
no rear wiper (L models)
Different and better than the useall saxos, novas, fiesta, etc

Dislike
No intermittent wiper mode
Rusty Sills
Rusty Crossmember
Rusty Wheels
water leaking into the passenger footwell
lack of standard equipment on L models

Likes:
Reliable
Very Economical
Easy to Fix
Simplicity
Compared to any other car from K,L,M Reg the K11 looks-wise is far far better than a rusty old Ford fiesta or anything of a K11 genre.
Further to that the interior is much better than other makes of car for this age. (thinking of a boxy dirty plastic pug 205)
Loads of room inside, Head nowhere near touches the roof. Bit like a tardis.
Great visibility
The fact that the Accelerator peddle is far from the other peddles and not bunched up next to the rest like almost all other cars. (does anyone know what i mean?)

Dislikes:
The Throttle Body
Hills
Cross Winds
Going to the North East and having the same car as everyone (K11 and generally Micra capital of the world)
The Throttle Body again

K10:

Like:
Looks (standard & modded too)
Fuel efficient but still Lightweight (good power to weight ratio...zoom)
Reliable!!
Low cost repairs & maintenance
Excelent visibility all around from the drivers seat
Acouple of quick mods on the handling and its a go cart!
No engine management (I only like engine management if I can see the algorythms & flowcharts etc)
No body seems to be interested in nicking them
insurance
tax
Fairly strong block and redline leneancy
Easy access in engine bay
Good 'feel' of the road through the steering
something unexplainable about its character
Full beam is good
Drivabillity
Compact

Dislike:
All bolts snap due to corrosion when tou try to dis assemble anything
Starter motor grates after miles wear
pitch & roll (on standard tyres, wheels & suspension)
Cabin noise at speed
Doors drop on 3 door models
Rear hand brake auto adjusters are CRUD
Fuel guage neer empty has poor resolution
headlight circuit buzzez relay & headlamp connectors fryWHEN poor contacts develop from corrosion & / or electrolysis
boot struts fail after age (bump on th head! cartoon lump and concussion)
Gear stick mounts eventually go (shifter drops through the floor....lol)

I really CANT THINK OF ANY MORE DISLIKES YIPEEEEEE

K10:
Liked: Felt like a car stripped down to the essentials, that would last forever and could be taken anywhere so long as you werent concerned about mod cons. Visibility better than any other car I've driven, reliable and started first time whatever the weather, surprisingly nippy around town (0-20mph anyhow), easy to work on, smooth to drive, v good engine, handled well round corners once good tyres put on, no electronics to go wrong, all controls in obvious places, retro-cool (if you like cars that look like a fridge..), IMO look better modded than K11s due to their angular styling, usually the oldest crappest car in the car park, which was an endless source of pride!
Disliked: Wipers squeaked and werent really up to the job in heavy rain, gearbox sounded like a bag of spanners, window trim kept popping off, no door pockets or other storage places, ate a stupid amount of petrol (probably due to my foot being flat to the floor half the time and only having 4 gears), was terrifying on the motorway due to poor acceleration over 30mph, bouncy suspension and reputed crash-safety of a crisp packet..

Gawd I am getting sentimental now!
