Venus and Jupiter

go outside and look at the sky.you need to be looking in a south/west direction.

the two bright ''stars'' you see are actually Venus and Jupiter.Jupiter is on the left and Venus is on the right.Venus appears bigger and brighter than Jupiter only because its closer to us.The 2 planets are actually in alignment with each other (hence them looking so close to each other in the night sky)

Have a look at Jupiter through a good pair of sturdy binoculars or a telescope to see its 4 main moons.

Ive just had a look through my daughters £40 telescope from toys r us and can see everything.

You cant miss it if you look with the naked eye.:)

yeah its been easily viewable every day for a while now and will be for a few more days.

kinda makes you think just how small we really are in the universe.

not any planetary detail like the colored layers or anything but i could see the 4 main moons going around it very clearly.with Venus i could see the crescent phasing.
