59 bhp is more than enough

well i took my volks off the car for repainting and then theyre going on the NME. I thought since theyre lighter and more performance orientated i might as well. anyways im going to split my volks and send them off to be acid dipped along with my roll cage. i bought these super turismos off ebay for 220 with all 4 new tyres. my intention was to put them on the NME but i stuck them on my everday K11 as explained before. i also took the spoiler off and tidied up the spot where it went. kinda going for a OEM+ look. not sure whether im putting it back on or not. anyways here are some pics. oh and one of my dads i took the other day for good measure.

does look very nice indeed :) you got any recent pics of the NME im intersted to see htis now too. i aint seen the little beut in ages

yeah its a work in progress but ill get some pics up next time i go up. hasnt really changed apart from now its got a big hole where the engine used to be and its got some bucket seats and harnesses. oh its also been completely stripped and a nice new sparco suede steering wheel is fitted. finally sourced a 1.4 so will be picking that up in the next couple of days and stripping it donw ready for the internals to go in and other stuff.

oh yeah and my dads car is a 57 chevy bel air convertable. stupidly rare car and one recently went at an auction down south in the same condition for £80 000. he let me drive it the other day and you just feel like a pimp. lol

mate there should be a law saying you can't drive a car like that without a phatt purple fur coat on :D

if i had a car that was worth £80,000 it would be shrink wrapped and burried so that no harm could come to it lol, i would not be able to drive it, i'd be too scared lol

yeah it is like his third child lol we drove down to the hot rod show at billing aquadome a couple of weeks back. i think it was a 500 mile round trip, it was awsome. even had the top down on the motorway and the amount of people who nearly crashed just cause they was staring. lol

haha, literal head turner lol,

i might have seen it! i saw something similar a while back when i was cruzin the motorway. it may have been that car :D

blue K11 definately needs the spoiler, but the bel airs damn awesome

went to a hot rod show at drayton manor the other week

man i love hotrods lol

reet i just got this whih should be delivered in a couple of weeks

as soon as it comes i can strip it down and fit all the lovely internals etc. unsure as to whether i wllbe using forged pistons as im unsure of the exact price but will find out soon and then make a descision. need to source a gearbox but will probably use a standard cg13de with a 160mm clutch. found an ignition only ecu for about 400 quid and includes everything you need to map it. need to find a decent dyno place coz i will need the carbs and ignition set up. goin up at the weekend so will take pics

well i went up today to take the old suspension off as it is being sold. while i was at it i took out the hub assembly and brakes in which will be rebuilt, wire brushed and hammerite painted. anyways since some of you wanted some pcs here they are.

after i rebuild the calipers and hubs etc im putting new drive shafts and wishbones on just to make sure its all tight along with the bilstein suspension setup. pretty much the same as what i took off but i want everything to be brand new. sent the cheque off for the engine the other day so will be here within 2 weeks or so. then i can start rebulding the engine with new goodies.

I also need to finish stripping out the interior and take the engine thats sitting in the spare wheel well out lol. I also need to make up some door cards probably out of some sheets of ally but if i find some cheap sheets of carbon fibre i might be pursuaded to buy it lol. The volk racing split rims are being sent off to be acid dipped ready for a gunmetal or bronze respray.

theres is loads more i need to do but its like ten past midnight and im nackered lol but will update as it goes along

fantastic mate the NME lives on and in good hands to it seems. i was worried at first but she seems to be getting looked after well. man i love that car

keep us updated

well due to a real cock up on the side of the guy who was selling me the R1 carbs he has sent me individual throttle bodies instead. which is not as bad as it sounds as they cost me naff all becuase they was priced for carburettors, i get to keep fuel injection, i get to use emange ultimate with my standard ecu which save me buying a whole new ecu and software blah blah blah. and i dont think anyone in the uk has put throttle bodies onto there micra. so all in all im pretty happy.

im must congratualte you on all this hard work michael this car will be a star attraction anywere it goes be nice on the road too ;)

keep goin please dont lose heart n not finish it :(

stephen

well speakin to ed before and he has informed me that the emanage cannot raise the rev limit which i will need so i will have to splash out on a full stand alone jobby. even though it will cost more i feel a bit better as ive always wanted individual throttle bodies and it will be setup much more accuratly. ed also informs me that this has the potentiol for massive power. hmmm K11 sr130 maybe lol

i thought i just read a post by ed saying you can remove the limiter with emanage

edit:just re-read it..says speed limit not rev limit

e-manage ultimate can though.

you should be able to see over 140bhp with TB's

No it can't, not with Nissan ECUs as they use two rev limiters - fuel cut and ignition cut, EM Ultimate can remove one but not both.

(Ed told me this) :p

i was going off the information you told me last time. :p:p:p

to stop the fuel cut cant you not do something with the fuel cut off relay to stop it cutting the fuel off?

and then use the emanage to stop the ignition cut off?

just ideas tho, i know nothing about what the emanage can do cause i have never used one before

I'm sure when Ed gets back he'll clarify the situation :)

And Ian, I dunno do I? I'm no ECU wizard ;) I was going off info from a website when I told you ;)

not sure about that lol i wouldbe happy with 120 tbh and a nice flat torque curve, however i will have a silly set of cams in it so i doubt ill get that lol will only really be used on the track though so the torque curve im not hugely bothered about

Good luck getting that through an emissions test!

The fuel cut will be in the programming of the ECU, so Pete could remove it...

59bhp is more than enough: you see the things stuck to your wings on the arch?
