Throttle body gasket?

I've just performed the throttle body re-soldering trick on my 1.0l K11 and all now seems well. However, I bought a Haynes for it today and it mentions a main throttle body gasket that didn't appear to be on mine. Should I have one? Can I just make one out of paper?

it should have a little gasket :S u sure its not stuck to your inlet manifold or tb? if not u need to get one from nissan really

I would just use a thin smear of instant gasket on the faces, oh and welcome to the MSC by the way.

should be a black plastic gasket there. Sometimes you can get away with reusing them.

did you take your throttle body off? i never did on mine and if you didnt you wouldnt of seen one.

Yeh, I definitely took it off. In retrospect I don't suppose I really needed to for re-soldering though it gave me chance to give the butterfly valve a good clean. Will probably try and make some kind of gasket as there seems to be an ever-so-slight hesitation in accelerating sometimes, though it could just be me imagining it as I find it difficult to believe that re-soldering ok-looking joints will fix the problem. It's just too simple! Thanks for the advice guys.

as it says, Take the plastic cover off the side of the box of wiz bits. Then resolder the joints.
