Thermostat change-Amount of coolant?

Hi all. I will be needing to change the thermostat on my 1.0 K11 as I believe it has stuck open causing the car to run a little on the cool side. Can anybody tell me how much coolant I can expect to drain out? Just wondering if the washing up bowl will be big enough?

I think it's 4 litres or thereabouts

Cheers for the reply. I searched another thread and saw that pattern thermostats might not have a oneway valve on them for refilling the system. Do you know if this is the case? Would I be better off just getting a genuine one from Nissan?
