still knocking

Ok so I discovered the old wishbone balljoint was knackered when off the car it rolled about freely...fitted new ns wishbone...its all fitted tightly and correctly however im still getting a knocking from the front ns. Not as bad now and steering is tighter (still to do drivers side in couple days) but still getting a rattle....applying the brake over bumps makes no difference so its not brake callipers or pads either....only other thing I can think of is a faulty strut? What are your thoughts

rattle over bumps, could be a broken spring.
