For instance, some people in the UK have done a GA16 conversion. Most of it is a direct fit apart from the fact the water pump doesnt and as a result an option is to cut the rail on the drivers side to make way for the pulley. The safe option is to run an electric water pump.
Do your research, head to the wreckers with a measuring tape and go from there.
I've seen one micra with a 1.6 engine in Australia. Do a search on this site and go from there.
