speedo clock pod with rev counter to replace standard

the kid scored a clockpod with rev counter.ive not collected it to fit yet.
what i wanna know is if theres connectors already in place on the standard car,or am i in for some surgery?and if so does anyone know what i have to tap into etc?

What year of car has he got?

better make sure if he's got digital dials, he got a set with digital odometer and vice versa for cable speedo.

For mine with a digital odometer it just plugged straight in
