Hi folks
Just fitted my short shifter kit and poly bushes for the gearchange i imported both myself and i have to say they have really shortened the throw and made it feel much tighter and precise.
kit is for a sentra but fits perfectly and comes with all the bits you want/need to fit it.
bushes were also for a sentra and again fit perectly so bonus.

and http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Shor...62QQcategoryZ33736QQihZ025QQitemZ380018630704 bushes.
this job is quite straight forward and simple to do but i will just add a few points
1: exhaust really needs removing to do is possible with in place but v, difficult
2: you will need to undo all the bolts and screws from the top then undo the bolts underneath and remove the shifter bar and lever from under the car so will need to be raised fairly high on one side
3: you will need to drill the shifter mount with an 8mm drill to fit this kit (just opening up the holes from 6mm easy)
4: the kit comes with a 2 part bush for the bottom of the lever DO NOT use this it has too large an internal diameter use the one off the standard shifter
5: strip it and grease it before fitting to make a smoother shift (and less wear):
6: you WILL NEED a set of external circlip pliers to fit the large circlip it is very strong and a very tight fit (took 2 hours to fit without it would take 20 seconds with it!)
7: kit comes with 4 brass washers to fit on the bottom of the shifter you will only need 2 or three of these i put 2 on the left 1 on the right (snug but not over tight fit)
8: DO NOT over tighten the bolt holding the link to the gear lever or you will not be able to move it freely just snug it up no more!
9: spray all nuts bolts and screws with wd40 before starting as they are in a high temp enviroment and tend to rust up tight!
easy and a worthwhile addition
so get to it! (Y)
