Second opinon on equipment needed.

Hi all,

I am going to upgrade my Micras soundsystem, after much browsing and searching I have compiled this:

The main question I have is whether the wiring kit is sufficient to wire and fuse the whole system.
Also the tweeters, I should be able to stick them on to the dash? I think the speakers should fit with no mods,but if some one could confirm that would be great.

Is this for a K11?

Just FYI the K11 takes 17cm/6.5" speakers so I'm not sure if those infinities would cause problems or not, bare that in mind. The maximum mounting depth is around 55mm.

Seems like a nice choice of equipment, particularly the amp/sub

With regards to the wiring kit you may want to get a couple of metres of 10awg to wire the amp to the subwoofer. You would also probably want (maybe) a bit more speaker cable as you only get 5.5m with that kit and it may not be enough to run from the amp in the boot to the speakers up front?

Other than that it all looks good.

Those speakers will fit fine as they have a depth of 53 mm and the max available is 54 mm... one problem though is that the metal adaptor plate might make contact with your lug connectors... so use insulation tape on that part of the plate... and on the connectors... its a tight fit but you'll see what I mean.. amp them and they will sound great.. you could easily put the tweeters in the top part of the door cards - toward the wing morrors... and angle them upwards and inwards... they'd still sound good but I suppose they'd sound better on the pillars at ear level.

Good selection there.. should sound great..

Where are you putting the cross over boxes?? If you put them in the boot then add some speaker wiring to your shopping list.
