Are jap ECU's internally the same as UK/AUDM ECU's?

I ask because I saw these

I'm pretty sure they are, I seem to remember micra_pete linking to that site before, but he is the man to ask as he knows very much about K11 ECUs

I wonder if thats how he mods the ecu by replacing parts with blank memory?

yep, it is, one of those will work on uk k11's, one of those won't, the 40pin ones will work on early k11 ecu's

i have had problems with grid boards, but i wont go into that
