Reverse Lights Manual Conversion

Hey guys,
I've seen heaps of pictures and threads on doing the manual conversion... I have everything in the car but need help with the wiring...
How do I get the reverse switch connected, it seems like a different connector...?
Also, where is the best place to do the Park/Neutral bypass? In the fuse box or at the connector on the box?

Thanks in advance!

starter power comes from fusible link#5 to the key, the black/red wire that comes out there that went to your autotrans inhibitor relay now goes directly to starter motor, the red wire that also comes out there and goes to fusebox/relay/auto-switch now needs to be disconnected..... edit...the red wire can be disconnected by removing the fuse it goes to (fuse#3)

"yellow wire that goes into your shifter now needs to go to the switch on the gearbox, the green/white wire that also went into the shifter now needs to be on the other side of that switch, you will probably need the plug off the donor car

I didn't see any wires going to the shifter except the wire for a light bulb...

There are a few plugs on the box, do I need to cut and solder those to another connector?

So I need to run some new wires from the key barrel? I can't just make the changes at the gearbox end, otherwise my car won't start?
sorry, I'm not following...
The Haynes manual wasn't really written with gearbox swaps in mind

Thanks heaps for helping though

I'm just looking at book, don't have an auto, is the donor car the same grade ie LX/SLX with the same options ie air/con or pow/steer, if so you may be able to swap the engine looms and remove the fuse above to fix starter, it may even sort the reverse lights

No... different grades, no aircon on the manual donor car...

I didn't think I had to swap the looms... don't I just have to bypass the Park/Neutral over-ride and then I'm all set?

I wasn't aware there was an issue getting the starter to work, I've connected the wires for it off the old loom, why would they need to be changed?

ok having a second look I've realized you can leave everything, the blue/green and the black can be joined exciting the relay that allows the starter circuit to work, might confuse a later owner if the relay fails, manual micras don't have this relay.

"Thanks,

Can you indicate which is the reverse wire in the auto connector so that I can connect it to the reverse switch on the manual box?

Rudy WROTE:

if you join in the plug from the donor car the wire colours should match according to the book
