Rev Count in 1.5d?

i got my first car! a Micra K11 1.5D. i want to install a Rev Count, how i do? it's possible?

It's a signal from the ECU on the diesel. It goes to pin 19 of the instrument panel with the rev counter. I'll put a pic up later when I've got time.

I am looking for a method to install a rev counter on my K11 1.5D.
I checked the diagrams by Agent_Sm1th and wondering this diagrams are not for the K12 1.5dci ?
As i know, in the K11 1.5D doesn't have any engine control module...
I think we need to check how rev counters work in the Citroen Saxo 1.5D TUD5 (VJZ).

These are not K12 diagrams. They are the K11 diesel diagrams straight from the Nissan maintenance manual.

There are any info about the location of the ECM? I only found the SRS module in my K11 1.5d under the radio. The dashboard in my car is without tachometer, and I think that all the diesels was made without tachometer. Agent_Sm1th there is any way to get your maintenance manual?

OK, i was wrong - there are diesels with tachometer, maybe vary rare. If I can found one, i am a buyer...
Found the manual also, and now I need to search for the ECM.

Why not splice into the wire as its going into the instrument cluster connector?

I'm sure a petrol tacho instrument cluster would work. They're not too hard to find.

Yes he's not mentioned the year. I've just posted the latest k11 version diagrams.
Still. It's not hard to stick a toothed wheel on the pulley and stick a VR or Hall sensor near it. He could use an aftermarket tacho then.

My K11 1.5d made in 1998. Bosch pump. I found aftermarket tachometers for diesel, they gets the signal from the alternator. I like the factory instrument panel, but I think that the petrol version will be inaccurate for the diesel.
