Remote Lock?Unlock not functioning

The Remote Locking/Unlocking (of the Key) is not functioning in my Nissan March K 11. What Would I do. Any Online resources which can be useful to fix this problem?

Have you checked the battery? (That is the battery in the thing remote control.)
