Rear parcel shelf

Mine was missing so picked a spare up from scrap yard, what is the use of the large flappy material for ?

Also should there be some rubber feet on each end to raise it up by a few millimetres as when I close the boot the centre cap hits the shelf a presses it out of shape, I have put some spaces on each end and it works a treat ?

The "flappy" material is for a Model with the sliding rear seats...there should be two catches that hook into a metal bar in a gap in the cloth at the back of the seats...
It's so when/if you move the seat forward your boot is still hidden

I'm not sure what you mean by rubber feet?
... but I did stick some felt under where the shelf hits the rear quarter interior trim...to dull the rattles I used to have...is that what you mean?

See the clip going into the back of the seat?

...and the seats are pushed forward so that extra material covers the gap
