rattling noise from the heaters

Hi there i have got a rattling noise from the heaters coming from the passenger side... sounds like something is loose in there, i think its a leaf but surely it would have been chewed up by now, is there away to pull the blower unit out and have a look? or remove the cabin filter? ( dont know if my x reg k11 has one?

any help guys as its driving me nuts!

You'll want to look under the dash behind the glovebox.
It's a simple nuts and screws affair to access it

for some reason theres a gaping hole next to the glove box and stuff just flys in there, was a cassette tape that must have gotten lodged above the dash ahah

Gaping hole in the dashboard? Or behind it... if it's behind that's the recirculation air inlet for the fan... and it goes to the fan itself anything gets up there it'll rattle
