Possessed wipers

Hi guys

Missus has a 97 1.0 Micra with no extras

Been fixing her up and only couple bits left

The wipers are weird, the "zero sensor" seems broken... I'm making that up of course

Normal and fast wipe works fine, but when switched off will stop wherever it is

Intermittent goes up 3/4 then stops

The single mode (push up) wipes fine but stops mid screen

The only way to zero at bottom is to hold the single mode on(up) and release at bottom

Assuming this is a sensor, chip, or mechanical switch... But where do I find it?

Right, done a lot of Google searches and ended up back here

Looks like mine will be pre facelift as 97- so guessing it's one of

Links not positioned straight
Bad relay located next to motor
Bad contact/switch inside motor
Motor itself

I'll try links, then contact/switch as I can do those without buying bits

Took the motor off
Drilled the rivers in the controller bit
Removed grease
Lightly filed 3x contacts
Bent contacts up slightly for better connection
Greased with graphite grease (black)
Then drilled through two points where rivets were, put nut and bolt through
Re assembled

PERFECT and didn't cost a penny
