Yeah these aren't new. There's various cars out there, including a lambo!

The lambo was just for show though, it wasn't actually being used as a police car.

The only one i've ever heard of being used for policing is an Evo 8, but at least that had 4 doors to put criminals in the back, I can't see how an Exige can be a practical law enforcement vehicle!

cos the theives are nicking evo's and scoobies too. it would be like fire and ice. no one would ever stop..lol

so Lotus gave the car to the police (they didnt spend any tax payers money) and it probebly uses a damned sight less fuel than a helicopter or an Evo.
