Parts for K11

Hi guys - This is my first post here.
Mine is a K11 1000cc 1998.
Been with us for about 8 months now.
Mostly it works quite well.

But in a visit to the Nissan dealer, I have been shocked at the parts prices!

I will need drive shafts, clutch, door handles and tailgate wiper arm and fan speed resistor.

The source of some of the above will have to be a scrap yard.

What would you recommend - what are some key items I should stock up in my garage as spare parts for the next two years?

bear in mind that the shafts etc changed after 3/98 on the 1.0,s

Mine is a Feb 1998. Manual.
Are the shafts for the auto and manual diff do you think?

Just that I have access to a car 1999 auto being scrapped shortly

the 3/98 is a manufacture date eh (not registration date) the early 1.0,s used the k10 derived g/box, which does,nt have the round steel cover (attached by a ring of bolts) on the n/s outer face
and the nearside auto shaft has an extended spline into the g/box apparently, so i doubt it

And I understand that 1999 drive shafts will be diff as mine is a Feb 1998.

if its just the outer c/v,s you need, then they,re only about £30/pair from ebay mate

I think I will stock up on headlights/rearlights/indicator lamps.

New topic: Doors are loose on their hinges.
Has anybody come across this problem and are there any links or writeups.

a bit off topic lol but, the top hinge has no adjustment upwards (there,s a locating boss/adjutment on the A pillar), i usually lever the back of the door up with a plank on the sill with the door nearly shut (mind you dont chip the paint on the wing/door gap near the mirror tho)

I've looked at the v small gap between the door and the body - and wondered - is it easy to take the bolts off the front wing - to get access to door hinge bolts - but this may have been an extreme reaction on the day.

like i say, there,s no adjustment on the A pillar ( non on mine anyway )because of the protruding boss that locates on the hinge bolthole,
