overflow on petrol tank

Where's the overflow on petrol tank?

err no such thing is there, surely it would be a bit dangerous if you went over a bump and a load of petrol spilled out

duno just filled my tank right up for first time and i seem just have a leak out of top of tank fort it mite off been overflow

no the petrol tank is sealed. no over flow. Just a sealed unit.

It was most likely from the breather pipe.

i filled up last night came home and parked up and the road dips in where i park.when i got up this morn could smell petrol so looked undercar and it had been dripin from petrol tank from top of it. think i maybe filled it up a bit too much maybe thats why its leaking

Yeah petrol is pretty 'fizzy' stuff, if you shake it up after you've brimmed your tank ( as I do everytime I fill up) you get a small amount of leakage but it's nothin to worry about
