Noisy central locking

The drivers door central locking on my k12 2005 micra convertible makes a really loud noise on locking only, unlocking is fine and the loud noise only comes from the drivers door, anyone got any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Open door. 2 big bolts that hold the catch. Undo partially and push the catch back. Though down though the catch hole and you'll see a pin sticking out. It shouldn't be. Use a tyre lever to push it back in.

Do up the bolts and have silent locking again.

Fantastic! Just done it and took less than 5 minutes, Silent central locking again, Thanks a million.

It was one of the reasons the previous owner of my car was selling up cheap, I didn't have the heart to tell him the solution.

Don't know, but wouldn't be surprised if it was, only one way to find out.....
