I have plugged my iPhone into my Nissan connect head unit using usb to lighten lead and all I get is the message below any hep greatly appreciated.

bad usb lead , no signal going from I phone
Thanks mate but tried different leads, I can’t figure it out and Nissan no help, flash drive works ok, just annoyed I can’t get apps
