On a recent visit to do some work for another garage we discovered this rather sorry looking K11 outside.
Story goes, it had been owned by an old woman on the south coast of England. When her Grand daughter passed her test it moved up here, to Sunny Scotland! :laugh: Anyway, the throttle body started playing up. The AA towed it to my friends garage, incorrectly! N-CVT cars should be towed with the front wheels off the ground, otherwise the bearings in the gearbox run dry. When the garage replaced the throttle body the car sounded like it was towing a paving slab, it drove fine but the gearbox was very noisy.
When the owner found out it would cost £350 to have the gearbox rebuilt (+fitting +VAT) they tried to source a second hand one. Fast forward a year, the owner still hadn't found a gearbox and had bought something else (a new Nissan Pixo!) A quick phone call and it was mine!
