need some advice about headlight indicator bulbs

Just got myself a pair of 2000 model facelift headlights (the ones with the clear indicators) and was wondering if its possible to get a hold of indicator bulbs that are clear but flash in amber.

the ones that came with the lights are amber and the reflectors make it seem as though the indicators are not completely clear. If there are clear bulbs for k11s, can someone point me in the right direction?

looked on ebay, but not sure what exactly i'm after.

I should probably mention they're going to be for a 2001 faclift k11.

There are two options for you here. You can go for the Silvatec bulbs such as these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SILVATEC-CHROME-INDICATOR-BULBS-OFFSET-FLASH-AMBER-NEW-/350213887585?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item518a5fd661

Or

You can go down the route of LED's like these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/21-LED-AMBER-ORANGE-INDICATOR-BULBS-581-inc-RESISTORS-/110560002164?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19bde3c074

However the LED's will need slightly more work, either by fitting a resistor pack such as these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50w-LED-Resistors-6-Ohm-FITS-380-382-581-LED-BULBS-/370383462902?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item563c9321f6 or you can just replace the flasher unit with one of these and then convert all the indicator bulbs (including rear) to LED ones: EDIT: See below post for correct one!

All items above will fit the micra but I'm unsure on the flasher unit, I'll update in about 15 mins as I'll check how many pins the current Nissan unit has.

EDIT: See below for flasher unit!

Hope this helps! (Y)

thanks JasperFoxx :)

think i'll go with the silvatec bulbs, can't be asked to mess around with resistor packs etc. Not really that good with stuff like that lol :D

what about the side repeaters? i've got the clear ones ordered off ebay, but i think they come with normal amber bulbs. are there silvatec bulbs available for them?

btw, i've got a pair of JDM LED rear lights already, so no need messing around with them.

No problem at all ^^ I'll be going down the LED route with mine in the next few months! Already done the rear brake and tails (LED replacement bulbs), LED numberplate lights and LED front sidelights, just indicators and reverse light to go now :grinning:

Will have to keep headlights as bulbs as LED's aren't bright enough and rear fog again will need to be kept bulb for the MOT, LED's aren't powerful enough for that application again.
