My new wheels. (pic heavy)

righteo i've been changing cars more than my socks recently. from my k12 (sold) to my mg zr (sold) to mums zr (while i looked for a car) to a corolla which dies and the dealer gave me my money back to a jdm import toyota vitz. though you guys might like a look see :D

its a 2001 toyota vitz RS (yaris obviously) jap import.

its a 1.5 (1497cc) 110bhp vvti

its got around 72,000 miles (122,000kms) it was imported january of last year at 109,000 kms so it has only done around 4000 miles on irish roads. at the beginning of this year (118,000 kms) it was fully serviced with genuine parts, including 4 new bridgestone tyres, new front and rear pads and aero blades. it also has a complete service history from its time in japan. it has more paperwork and history than a library. it has a toyota facorty fitted bodykit and alloys.

its 100% standard and unabused.

lots of toys, fully automatic air con, heated auto folding mirrors, elec windows, double din cd/dvd/sat nav head unit, bucket seats, front spots, clifford g5 alarm and stuff....

Me likes, me likes alot.

I would have bought a yaris but the only thing holding me back is the speedo position :O

How do you find it in the centre?

its ok... the first few days i kept looking through the wheel and being temporarily shocked at the grey plastic abyss staring back at me then realising the gauges were off to the left.

the gauges are analogue in the RS not digital like the standard yaris and are backlit in white so stand out quite well on the dash at night :D:D:D

Very nice. Anything planned for her?
nothing wild. only visual modifications will be tasteful mudflaps to keep the white clean, a new set of headlights as those ones are corroded and yellow and a wheel refurb as theres lots of little bubbles on them close up. maybe a professional paintwork correction, ive tryed compounding and polishing myself like i do with all my cars but cant get this one up right, but with the white its hard to tell.

turbo ftw, arent these the engines that bolt into starlet and when tuned properly 300bhp+ easy
never heard of one fitted to a starlet, seems a clever idea though :D mines the non turbo (obviously lol) and its 110bhp, aparently the turbo version only boosts 0.5 bar, produces around 150bhp.

Flipping 'eck, thats a Yaris? ... Me likes that.
thats what i said when i looked at the ad. picked up the phone, drove straight to the guys house, an hour later it was in my garden :p

Nope, its the 5e which is hte block the starlet guys use.
mines the 1NZ-FE engine, but im not too up to date on my engine code jargon so ive no idea what im means lol

Before you decide to change the headlights, try this:

I've used it myself and it does a good job.
I have some left. You could try it before you buy.
