My k11supers didnt pass inspection.... HELP!

Hy there guys my 94 supers didn't get green card in inspection because of CO2 levels are too high! I take it to mechanic and they change me the Co2 Sensor ( they say to me it was burnt out ) Know after that they connet the car to that control machine and the machine was reading regular Co2 levels!After that i went to reinspect the car but the problem was still there!ofcourse it had reduced much the Co levels but not enough!!! The end of the mufler is dark and the mechanic said its tha cat that is dirty and Know all i have to do is run at high rpm to clean the cat!!!

any comments?

Sounds like its running slightly rich.

I don't know if cat converters filter CO2 levels...

I don't know if your air flow meter will be the problem? because engine ECU uses CO2 sensor and air flow to calculate fuel to inject at idle time, am I wrong ?

You are right, there is no way of making the car run too rich/lean at idle revs as it is all controlled by the lambda as far as I know.

When I got this result with my MOT it was a hole in the exhaust! Only a tiny one!

So now i have the lambda changed the tip of my exhaust its clean and no more black dirty! tomorow i will reinspect the car. hope everything ok now!

PS- do u think the air mass meter its getting bad or was just the lambda problem?

i'll have to try the resoldoring trhotle body!!!
