my brake pads

couple of days ago i noticed a strange noise on the front brakes, i checked them out and they needed new pads so..... i went to halfords to buy some freddo pads and halfords discs (slight scoring of the other discs). so i whent to raceworx's house to have them fitted, we took the wheels of etc and noticed the drivers side pad was down to the metal! when i took the picture of the pads the worst one was the wrong way around (i think lol) you can still tell as ones dead finn and the other massive! heres a pic of the pads and shiny new discs!

I thought that too. A bit of uneven wear is to be expected on single piston sliding brakes such as what is used on most small to medium cars but that sort of wear is pretty unusual.

dude pistons werent a headache used a g-clamp and they went back fine.. anyway at least your safe now..

You get a little uneven pad wear on sliding calipers but you shouldn't get anywhere near that much, doesn't look as though your calipers were sliding at all! Glad you've got new pads and discs though, would keep an eye on the pad wear periodically and make sure everything's tip top

how can you tell, there's no comparison pics of the pads! just a new pad face up and old one face down!!!
