moving heater controls?

Hi i am thinking about moving the the heater control panel on the dash. i have got some ideas involving tv screens.
Has any one ever moved theres? or is it possible?

I'd thought about it to mount 3x 60mm gauges in them, but there's a bit of an issue there. Moving the fan controls wouldn't be hard as it's just electrical. The switcher for changing temp and to open different vents however, is a mechanical switch. You can see it if you open it up and have a look behind while switching between settings. Unless you're willing to sacrifice your choice of temp and vents to mount stuff in there, you don't have huge amount of choice.
