Mirca electric steering unit

So I have come to the conclusion that I need to replace my steering unit on my 54 plate nissan micra. Now I have seen these for sale on ebay if I was to purchase one apart from the installation is there anything else that will need to be done to make the new second hand one work ie the codes.
