what bhp do the 1.2 K10's have???

It's just i've gone whizzing past boy racers a lot in mine and it's puzzling me!

Hmmm interesting, did you take it to a rolling road? I know the parkers technical information website has some weird figures for the K10. The MA12's (1.2 litres) are definately 60 BHP stock.

Welcome to the club by the way! :)

1.2 engines were 60bhp
High compression 1.0s were 55bhp
Standard 1.0s were 50bhp

Check here for more info :)

Thanks

Its likely to be 50 but im not sure how you tell the difference! Some sort of compression test i guess.

A compression test wouldn't tell you. I don't know how you tell though. Probably ringing Nissan with the chassis number. The difference is only in the head.

i thought they were called MA10 and MA10S (S being high compression).

Or check the fuel flap, I think the 1.0s that say Super 97 RON are high compression and the 95 RON are normal.

Ma10 S:
4 speed manual = 50hp (37kW (@6000rev\min Copression ratio: 9,5 :1)

All others = 55hp (41 kW (@6000rev\min copression ratio: 10,3:1)

Ma12 S:
60hp (44kW (@6000rev\min)

Got the Haynes:p

Edit: Added the copression ratio.

Dont let that let you think that a MA10 with a 5 speed is 55bhp! I know some people think changing it from a 4 to a 5 gives you an extra 5bhp, which is rediculous
