has anyone successfully re-attached a broken connector to a heater matrix? If so.. how. The plastic looks a bit stubborn to me and may not lend itself to epoxy or some kind of glass fibre/resin tourniquet.

Dont do it. If it was brittle enough to break you dont want to try fixing it.
