Lubricating speedometer cable

Hi guys

I've just replaced the speedo cable on Sandras Corsa, but it's a bit noisy behind the dials (you can hear it spinning). I didn't grease it up. I imagine the replacement procedure is the same for the K10/K11.. Which lube/grease should I use?
