Lean, reach and air co-relation

Just a question: is there a corelation and/or inverse-correlation between reach/lean and high/low air intake?

The reason behind the question was engin light that turned on (code p0171) for the forth time while driving on motorway!

Driven in town and on A roads over 600 miles with no problem. On motor ways after 20 miles, after 5 miles Speedo touches 80, the light turns on.

Don't know what the problem is and what to look for and where to look!?

probably maf related mate, the driving conditions are different on the motorway, mostly wide constant throttle, which means the short term fueltrims will be different
