My mother in law has the Micra and it will be me working on it - helping to save my wife's inheritance !!
To start with the battery died and we've lost the radio setting. She's given me a code number but the radio won't accept it so I've whipped the radio out and the all of the labels have been removed/ fell off.
But there is a number stamped on it's side that looks like the serial number - BP334947272984 - would anyone here be able to generate the 4 digit code from this for me please? Thanks

You need the serial number which starts with BP then 12 digits.
Where can I find this BP Serial number?

By removing radio from dash, serial number is on back of radio.

You have to take the radio at least partially out. It's on a label on the back

I forgot to mention, this is copied from my blog:
"Due unfinished LED HI beam light installation, the glove box on my 'Icra' is removed, to gain access to get cables through the firewall.
The Nissan mechanic stuck his smart phone through the glove box opening and took a picture of the serial number. NO need to remove the radio from the dash! 2 minutes later, I had tunage back on my vehicle!
