K12 Not Starting

sounds very much to me like a starter solenoid or a flat battery mate, have you tried chucking some more power into it with a booster or jumping from another battery in anyway?

for instance when the starter motor turns does it get slower before you have to stop and try again?

I was reading on another forum that the electric steering unit has to be re coded to work but it should not stop car from starting have you any engine management light on yellow light left hand side on cluster. if your new pump hasnt been coded you still wont have power steering.

I also read that 99% of the time there is nothing wrong with the old unit it would simply be a electrical malfunction dampness ect that would throw the warning light up and stop the unit from working, If you had access to a fault diagnoses unit around £30 to £50 from ebay you could have cleared the fault and it may well have been ok.
