k11 wiper motor

i have a wiper motor that i can here working when i switch from the stalk but the arms have taken on a life of there own and can be moved through there full swing i heard a judder and a small clunk before they packed in. I was wondering if anyone has had the problem, will i need to remove the motor , how easy is it, opr is there a pin of some sort that shears to protect the motor/arms any help as it is persisting down for the next 5 days

Not sure whats up with the motor, might just be worn out. Best bet would be to get one from a scrappy and put it in.

To remove the motor you remove the back plate on the inside of ur boot, just prise off the 10 or so connectors holding it on. Then there are 3 screws/bolts that hold the washer motor on. Unbolt them and disconnect the electrics from the motor and you can remove it. Just remember to unattach it from the wiper.

No bother, if in doubt, have a look at the Haynes manual, it should tell you in there how to fix it.
