K11 Starting Probs

Hiya, new to this site but thought if anybody would know you guys would!! I have a K11 Celebration which is refusing to start although trying the AA said Crank shaft sensor I take it this is also a camshaft sensor, how do I fit it as the Haynes manual doesn't specify would appreciate any help, cheers

the cas is inside the distributor on the pre 2000 k11,s krist

most simply fit another dizzy, is there no spark then ?

Doesn't look like it, its trying to turn but not quite getting there, almost went a couple of times but then nothing. My husband broke down in it, it stalled at low revs, he managed to get it off the road and after a while it started again so he managed to limp almost home before it stalled again, thats when AA said Crank shaft sensor had gone.

Sounds exactly what happened to me. Dizzy fails when its warm but would start again when cold. Not hard to fit a dizzy, can be done by novice.

it does sound like it eh, mine kept conking then would run for a while once it had cooled down a few years ago, a £25 2nd hand dizzy cured it np

Brill thanks guys, will have a look and see if I can get one, I take it the Haynes manual will give me a step by step guide LOL

Yes, Haynes gives a goodish guide for fitting Distributor.
