irritating squeak from shock absorbers

Has anyone got the same problem? I have only had my 1993 Micra K11 for a month. Had the shocks looked at by Kwik Fit and they said they were fairly new but when you push down on the passenger wing, there is a squeaking like an old bed spring! Very irritating! I have sprayed white grease around the joints but it has not improved. Anyone got any answers??

It was my lower castor bushing. The one which attaches to the floorpan. Pull it off (very hard lol), clean it up and regrease it with the white silicone grease.

However it is probably just getting old and it might be time to fit some new bushings.

it could also be the rubber dust boot that sits over the top of the strut, mine did it after i lowered it...stretching it slightly (fingers through gap in springs and pull), seemed to solve the problem.
