hey there all,
i recently put in a second hand motor from the wreckers in my micra. This motor is a jap import style, plastic cover as to a metal one.
It is in the car and running but not to its best. When it starts it takes a little while for it to rev. like it is bogged down.
So i played with the dizzie until i got it to run smoother but it still does the same thing.
When i purchesed this new motor the dizzie was missing so i put my one in.
Is ther anyway i could have stuffed this up? like got the timing way out etc?
It doesnt run hot, well not any hotter than what it should.
So is there a difference between the two makes of motors? dizzie etc?
I am stumped to why this is happening as i have new sparkies, filter etc once the motor was in.
It runs, drives but sometimes with a stagger and a flutter.
Plus when i went to put all the wires back onto the motor there is one lost connection without a home. Its on the loom that runs under the intake manifold upto the throttle body. bugger if i know where it goes as there is no place that i can see for a connection.
Did i miss something?
