How can i de-lock my filler cap?

I'm guessing some higher spec models were already fitted with them but how can i de-lock mine but still be able to get it open? Would somthing like this work?.. (picture of the door pusher thing from my bathroom cabinet..)

get a release cable from a scrapyard and fit it. I have one, but I haven't got round to fitting it yet

i did this took 25mins make sure you get all mounting hard wear, u will need a dril and a file 2 make some holes if they aint already there.
