Hiccups

Hi guys, I have a bit of problem with my car, I'll start from the top.

I had a P2 service on 08/10 P2 drove it home, then did a return journey to work the next day.

It needed some body work doing to the back wing (incompetent diver next door knocked it) so took it to a body work specialist on 10/10/08.

Got my car back yesterday (I know they took forever) drove about 40 miles and my car developed the hiccups. I would apply gas and the car would sort of jump, so I'd try and apply more gas then the car would speed off then hiccup again getting slower.

Stopped the car saw a little smoke but I checked the oil and water levels were fine. The RAC guy said everything looked fine inside but he would dry off the computer just in case screen was had dripped on it. That didn't change a thing, he had no idea what the problem was and the engine management light didn't come on.

Any idea's?

My car hadn't been anywhere while in the body shop and they had it for a month.

I turned my car on this morning hoping and praying it was just having an off day but it was still the same only this time the engine management light is on.

Was about to say, just before realising the renault connection, that it sounds just like my dad previous car, a renault scenic. Also my mates dads car used to have the same fault, also a renault lol. Used to only do it in summer though, never figured it out, tried nearly everything, then sold it october last year (new owner will have a suprise next may) :)

But yeah take it to nissan.

Took it to Nissan and it was a Lumber Sensor, which they fixed under warranty. I've had more things done to my Micra (which I've only had it 18 months) than I ever had in my Corsa which is still going 175,000.
