Help with K12 install - Please

Hello, iv'e come hoping for some help please.

a little background first
My girlfriend has a standard 2003 (53 Plate) K12 1.2 SE, with standard headunit with the steering controls.
The standard stereo is playing up and she wants me to put a new one in,
however she still wants to retain the use of the steering controls.

I have done a quick google and seen that Autoleads do something that looks suitable (http://www.lowcostcaraudio.co.uk/lcca/4148/mia/pid/7717881)
has anyone used one of these or know of anything better?

also she wants better speakers to go with a new head unit, but after looking all through this forum i cannot find any thread that says what size speakers will fit into a k12, can anyone help me on this??

How do i remove the K12 radio unit?

I just read your thread, not sure if you can help or whether i need to post a new thread, but i want to be able to play MP3's on the standard unit fitted in my 53 micra 1.2 SE. I am guessing the only way to do this is to replace the exisiting unit with a player that can accomodate MP3 format.

My question - how do i remove the std unit??

there is a few pictures at the bottom of the guide that do work
