Help... painting my grill

The front grill on my K11 facelift is currently the silver colour and i want to paint it black to match the black side strips and bumpers strips etc etc because i want black alloys, but before i go ahead and do it im not sure how well the piant will stick to the chrome coz if its going to chip easily i wont bother also which looks best gloss or matt black?

sand the grills down with some really rough sand paper, then plastic primer it loads of times. then apply your base coat (gloss balck will look best imo) then laquer them
