Gearbox replacement

hi. Will a 2002 1.0 litre Micra gearbox fit a 1999 1.0 litre engine.

Hi sorry to ask again but I have one on hold and I don't want to buy it to find it does not fit. Would any one know where I can go to find out if a 2002 1.0 litre box will fit a 1999 1.0 engine.

i doubt if anyone has tried it rootsey, the crank sensor should,nt be a problem but i think all the coilpack g/box,s have the starter hole on the other side (under the inlet mani)

You might also have to check the flywheel and put the coilpack one on, as the spacing might be different due to the coilpack engine having the crank sensor teeth and the starter behind the engine.
