Gearbox Ratio Q??

Does my car have the lowest available final drive gearbox ratio I will find?
It is a 1997 1.0litre.

I think so yeah, as facelifts all come with the 1.3 style gearbox

Although you might be able to buy them somewhere

matt humphris posted that the rally boys use the facelift 1.0 diff (the ones that cant afford the 5:1 straightcut, 4.46:1 iirc) pre-face is 4.05, and 1.3 is 3.9 eh

So there IS a lower ratio out there and it's on a facelift 1.0. My prefacelift will be the 4.05:1, a move to 4.46:1 would be quite a woprthwhile jump. Would it entail an internals swape due to the newer shape box not fitting to my bellhousing?

the pre-face 1.0 has a smaller g/box eh (RS5F41) so you would need the f/w, shafts etc etc
