I have a v reg 1999 micra which is a facelift distributor engine which has the gearbox with an electronic speedo sensor. I am changing the gearbox and bought one with the old non electronic speedo cable and was wondering if i changed the whole cable it would work with the clocks are is there alot more too it?

no its a 1.0 mate i just completely overlooked that it wasnt an electronic speedo sensor type

yer i know mate i have realised that now i mean i have a prefacelift engine in it but the speedo is what im worried about

99 will be 1st facelift daniel, pre-coilpack

with an RS5F30 type g/box tho eh, the pre-face 1.0 has different shafts/clutch etc

so it wont fit with the facelift 1.0 shafts?

the facelift 1.0,s have the same setup as all of the 1.3,s mate

Okay dokay but the prefacelift 1.0 box wont fit the1.3 engine with the facelift 1.0 driveshafts?

the engines fit either, but the smaller RS5F41 g/box has smaller clutch and shaft splines and many other differences
