K kwkevy Nov 28, 2023 #1 Hi Just changed the automatic gearbox oil in my 1lr micra, the book says 3.2 litres of oil . Have done this , but on the dipstickcit shows way to much oil in there. Is this normal? Thanks

OP OP K kwkevy Nov 28, 2023 #3 It says 4 litres if you drain the oil cooler ? Have tried taking some out so it's to the dipstick level and the clutch slips ?

.Maarten Nov 28, 2023 #4 Do you have a dizzy or coilpack engine? DIzzy uses a powder clutch and coilpack uses a fluid clutch.
V vexorg Nov 29, 2023 #6 If it's a proper autobox, then a lot of oil will stay in the torque converter when you drain it.
