Fuse box cover (the small one under the hood)

Hi all,

My break lights have just stopped working. After checking the bulbs, I’m on to the fuses.

Unfortunately after a 2 hr fight with the Fuse box cover (the small one under the hood), I’ve been unable to pull this out to get to the fuses.

Could someone give me a hand and give me some tips on how to open the fuse box cover please?
