Fuel filler flap

Hi all, I am new to this forum and need some help!
I have recently bought a 2006 1.6 sport cc and I cannot open the fuel filler flap. It worked OK the first couple of times I put fuel in, but now it is stuck. There does not appear to be a remote fuel release lever anywhere and I presume the filler flap locks with a solenoid, but what to do now?

If it is a manual door catch the lever is next to the boot opening latch, if it not then it may be electrical and you need to check the fuses. I also found this video if it will help.

Thank you Mach 1 for that info. On checking it is not cable operated but works on a solenoid. I managed to get it open by switching the interior lock switch on and off repeatedly. I have isolated the solenoid lock until I can get round to sorting it properly.
