Engine rattle

Hi,
when i give my micra some welly and i hit about the limit to change to next gear i get a slight rattle from the engine, im thinking its the timing chain? any ideas? or ways to check things? thanks

Check exhaust heat shields, they're notorious especially when engine/exhaust is hot...
